Children visit Croke Park for the National League Final

It was great to see so many boys and girls from our P4-7 classes take up the opportunity to visit Croke Park yesterday and support their county in the National League final.  The children got into the occasion by dressing in red and black, painting their faces in the county colours and bringing along flags and hooters.

Whilst everyone enjoyed a fantastic day out sadly the result was the only thing that went wrong with Down getting beaten by five points.

A massive thanks must go to Miss Grant for coming up with the idea and making all of the arrangements.  Thanks also to the many staff who made the visit possible by giving up their own time to accompany the children on the day.  Many parents and grandparents helped to manage the group- thank you to them!

Cross Country Finals

Well done to our boys’ team who competed in the South Eastern Region Cross Country Finals on Friday in the Billy Neill Centre, Dundonald. The conditions were perfect with the sun shining and no wind.
The boys tried so hard and put everything into the race. Whilst they didn't get a place in the Northern Ireland finals we can all be very proud of them.
Well done especially to Ryan Walsh who finished in 17th place.
Thank you to two of our parents, Mr McKibben and Mrs Madine for their help on the day
.
