Confirmation

Well done to all the boys and girls in Primary 7 who made their Confirmation.

Technology challenge team

Our technology challenge team really enjoyed taking part in the South Eastern Region heats on the 7th May in Ballynahinch High School. The challenge was to design and build a bridge that would span over 40 cms and which could hold a weight of 250g.

The team worked hard to produce a fantastic structure and came very close to winning the competition.

Well done!

Council Visit

Primary 3 were very lucky to receive a visit from Linda Scott from the Council. They were taught how to made different everyday items out of recycled objects!

Ardnabannon Update

All is going well so far at Ardnabannon. The beds are made, after a few attempts, everyone has got unpacked and enjoyed their first activity. Some groups went bouldering whilst others went on the Adventure Walk in Tullymore. We are at Lisburn Leiesure pool and, judging by the shrieks and screams, everyone is having a great time.

Fingers crossed the boys and girls will have an early night after such a busy day! Here's hoping!!!

Children visit Croke Park for the National League Final

It was great to see so many boys and girls from our P4-7 classes take up the opportunity to visit Croke Park yesterday and support their county in the National League final.  The children got into the occasion by dressing in red and black, painting their faces in the county colours and bringing along flags and hooters.

Whilst everyone enjoyed a fantastic day out sadly the result was the only thing that went wrong with Down getting beaten by five points.

A massive thanks must go to Miss Grant for coming up with the idea and making all of the arrangements.  Thanks also to the many staff who made the visit possible by giving up their own time to accompany the children on the day.  Many parents and grandparents helped to manage the group- thank you to them!
