KS2 Nativity

st1It was very evident that Ballynahinch has got talent after watching the KS2 performance 'There's Something Amazing Going On' last night.  The children excelled themselves as they sang, danced and performed their Nativity story witha difference.  Indeed, there was great surprise when Elvis even turned up to celebrate the occasion.

Congratulations to the children.  They worked really hard over the last two weeks to make sure this was a show to remember.  Congratulations and thanks go to the teachers and support staff for all they have done to develop the skills and confidence of the children.

Preparations well underway for KS2 play

The school is hectic at the moment as last minute preparations are made for the performance of 'There's Something Amazing Going On'.  Today saw a dress rehearsal with the KS1 classes and Nursery children coming along to watch.  The children are really looking forward to perfoirming in front of their frinds from Ballynahinch PS tomorrow and as this will be their last chance to practice no doubt there will be some nerves.

Tickets are still available for both the Wednesday morning performance  and the Thursday evening performance.  Parents, family and local community members are welcome to come along to the show.

Advent Mass

The true meaning of Christmas was conveyed to all of the congregation who attended the KS1 Advent Mass in St Patrick's Church this morning.  The children set the scene through their tableau at the beginnig of Mass and the Christmas message rung through the reading and singing of the choir  and soloists.  Well done to all of the P1 to P4 children for producing such a wonderful and touching ceremony.

It was also great to see the support provided to our school by the great numbers of parents and members of the local community who came along to join in with our celebrations.  Thank you for coming and adding to the occasion

P3 Enrolment and First Confession

Congratulations to the P4 boys and girls on making their First Confession last night. The singing was beautiful and the readers did a fantastic job.  Well done P4 and thanks to Miss Delaney and Mrs Stewart for having the children so well prepared.  Thanks also to all of the parents who supported their sons and daughters so well on the night.  It was lovely to see the hugs and kisses that the mums and dads had for their children after receiving the sacrament.

Congratulations are also extended to the P3 children who enrolled for their programme in preparation for receiving the sacraments next year.  Their singing and prayers were also fantastic.
